Did GMA describe gunman in Atlanta as a light black man?

Really GMA?
Gunman hiding behind a fence with a rifle.
Seems to be targeting school buses.
He was described as either a white or a light black man.
Really?
A light black man.
Hmmmm.
What about a dark white man?
Foxatlanta article online doesn't state a possible race.
Is the national media mad at Atlanta for not reporting this to the press immediately?
Imagine the fear they could have put into the city of Atlanta.
The money that could have been generated from  the advertising.
The jobs that could have been created.
The sandwiches and coffee sold to the press while camped out in Atlanta.
Is the time it takes from the "crime" to the time it takes to get to the "news" part of a
formula used to decide to run a story?
Is it too late to make money off of the Atlanta gunman story?
Will we hear any more about it?
Time will tell.
and PLEASE
Think about what you're saying.
Light black man. Really?
I'm so sick of arrogance and racism.
As an artist that uses color to provoke thought
(in my mind anyway lol hahaha!)
I'd like to mix up a pretty lavender
and pour it over the world.
Yes, I'd like to paint Sam Champion and the rest of the GMA crew: LAVENDER.
Then however would we be able to describe others?
Point fingers at "other imperfect" human beings?
Again:
the question remains:
How do you act when you meet someone other than yourself?
If you want to know who said this, you'll have to either
google it
or read through some earlier posts.
It's a beautiful day outside,
go forth.....

Neil Orne and Saturday Night Live

Pike Grange, Nichols IA

Speaking of old, per the above building filled with memories,
remember the old days?
Saturday night?
Saturday night LIVE?
Wolfman Jack?
Miidnight Special and it's ever lovin light?

Let's talk SNL.
Gilda Radner, Curtain, Martin, Chase, Akroyd, Belushi.
You never knew if the commercials were a skit or a real commercial.
That's brilliance.
Thanks Lorne!

What does this have to do with Channel 2 morning news?

Justin, Neil and Julie.
Same thing.

Start your morn with the Orne!
Found this morning:
Neil will take a towel from a hotel, knowing they will charge him,
Justin won't.
The weather man be honest!

What does this have to do with an art blog?
The morning is an important time for this artist.
some mornings it's cClassical music
some mornings it's Tropical music
some mornings it's Silence
and some mornings
as much as I don't want to
I watch the News
They all inspire my day.

Per the photos
When is it decided to save architecture?
To save the past?
To remember?
To ponder?
When is it decided to save rural America?
When it's decided.
When will that be?
When urban decides it's time.
When will that be?
When urban can't take care of itself.
the clock
the tick
the tock
the tick tock,  tick tock

Not my First Hoodie Post

Not sure what radio talk show I was listening to.
The talk was about the hoodie.
Wow.
The painting below is of a young man in a hoodie.
My first painting featuring the hoodie.
Not sure yet if it will be the last.
Or the first
of many.
Do you recognize him?
Do you know his name?
Do you know what he did?
Interesting that the blandest item in the clothes closet
has become an object of fierce cultural discussion.
Have you figured out who is in the painting?
Do you think he's a victim?
Do you think he's the opposite of a victim?
His name is Cho.
If the name,  in and of itself,  does not ring a bell
I'll let you look it up.
You can find the answer in this blog.

what is this world coming to?
what have we done to our children?
what have we done to ourselves?
How do you act when you meet someone that is not like yourself?
May I suggest thinking about that.
I've written about that subject too.
Do you know who asked that question?
Maybe it will interest you to read more from the one that asked this question.

Sad to think our children are dying alone and vulnerable.
Hourly. if not minutely.
Treyvon Martin did....
steps from his home.

Personal responsibility

How's yours?

Have you bought your 16 year old a shiny, new Mazda sports car?
for a birthday gift?
Is your 16 year old still alive?

Architectural elements in the cemetary

On Bended Knee

When Things Break, contd.....

When a building ages
when it holds secrets to the past
that have been all but forgotten
when the grass is dead and tall
when the boards are bare and weathered
when the trees have fallen
and gray surrounds.
When things break,
then what?

When the flag tears
and the fabric fades
and it blows in the wind
when things break,
then what?

with men that served
some lived
some died
but all remembered
